For big brands with the budget to run ads, Instagram is definitely still a strong play. But for creators and small businesses looking to grow organically, TikTok is where the real opportunity is. TikTok’s algorithm still pushes small accounts faster, TikTok Shop is booming and already outpacing Meta for many creators, and their affiliate system is much more accessible. Organic reach on TikTok is still stronger than Instagram, and once the US ownership deal settles, we’ll likely see even more brands jumping in. It feels like TikTok is setting the pace for the next phase of social commerce.
