💻 Roadmap
📲 Instagram has several new features in the works, which might make life a little easier for social media managers. For example, you’ll soon be able to save Story drafts.
There are also several features being tested that aren’t on the roadmap yet but could make their way to your mobile device soon:
A Story button at the top of your timeline
(These leaks come Twitter users such as Jane Wong, Matt Navarra, Alessandro Paluzzi and InstaLeaks who have access to or screenshots from beta tests being run in the app.)
📩 Slack announced that people would be able to DM anyone on their platform, becoming a full-on messaging app for anyone at work. But they quickly backpedaled and removed message invites in their new DM feature as people pointed out harassment concerns.

🍤 Here’s the tl;dr on the Cinnamon Toast Crunch shrimp guy who went from Twitter hero to zero this week:
A man found what looked like shrimp tails and other strange items in a box of Cinnamon Toast Crunch.
Cinnamon Toast Crunch completely bungled their response to him and this will be a crisis comms case study for years to come.
Turns out the guy is a comedian, former rapper and married to Boy Meets World’s star Danielle Fishel.
He also has several ex-girlfriends who claim he’s an abusive creep, earning him the title of Milkshake Duck.
🗂 Vulture compiled a timeline of YouTuber David Dobrik’s fall from grace following a rape allegation against a former member of his Vlog Squad. But as BuzzFeed pointed out, will the scandal really change anything about YouTube culture? While Dobrik has lost followers and sponsors, an Insider study last year showed that an influencer’s career can actually benefit from getting ‘canceled.’

🚫 The unofficial mayor of Twitter just quit. Chrissy Teigen says she doesn’t blame Twitter. “It’s not the platform. It’s not the ‘bullying’. And it’s not the trolls. The trolls I can deal with, although it weighs on you. It’s just me. I have to come to terms with the fact some people aren’t gonna like me.”
🐶 Pedigree sponsored a Clubhouse room to promote pet adoptions by turning all of the profile pictures into adoptable dogs and it’s as cute as you might imagine.
🎤 Clubhouse also got a big boost among music fans when Demi Lovato invited her fans to a room to discuss her new album, “Dancing With the Devil … The Art of Starting Over.”
😈 Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey subtweeted congress on Thursday during a hearing with Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg and Google’s Sundar Pichai. (Definition of a subtweet)
