Great recap Lia! If follower metrics are becoming obsolete, what do you think the next meaningful metric is? Video views?

At SMW, a lot of the conversation was about putting paid behind creator content for conversion purposes, eg lower costs per click, higher click through rate.

And then Adam Mosseri just did an interview where he said the most important metrics were: likes per reach, sends per reach and average watch time.

So I think it depends between paid and organic. But for organic I'd prioritize sends per reach since it indicates your content was good enough for someone to share with friends

Do you see a world where we would not see a FOLLOW button on the creator profile though? Trying to judge if its still a must-have vs nice-to-have!

Alt text for photos is great but seems TikTok should prioritize descriptive text for videos since thats majority of content on the platform?

They should also fix some of their mislabelled buttons and elements for screen reader users, but TikTok is not the only one that should be doing that, Substack has far too many unlabelled buttons in the mobile app and it’s annoying.
