SO curious to see what happens with IG's "Twitter" - Our team stopped using Twitter after the Musk takeover, so we'll definitely have to have a conversation about how this new app plays in (if at all)

it's interesting because so many people on Twitter are saying this could be the app that gets them to leave the platform. People will go to this new app with all the structure of IG in place and can easily bring their audience with them. Definitely has potential.

That's a big statement from Twitter users! Funny how IG just seems to copy/paste features from other apps (Snapchat stories, TikToks>Reels). Makes me wonder if IG will eventually overpower all? BUT I know the individual apps have more consistent, specific development which keeps people downloading. It'll be very interesting to see where all of this ends up in a year or two!

Did they quit Twitter or just never got into it in the first place?

Instagram lost the plot. It started with sharing nice photos, it's now predominantly reels, ads, and now a Twitter-like interface? What a waste of time and of what was once a unique idea.

it's been very different for a long time now — I don't know that having a text-based option companion app is the worst thing.
